On this episode of Filmcraziest Interviews, I talk with Phillip G. Carroll Jr., who wrote, directed and edited the new psychological thriller/sci-fi/horror film, The Honeymoon Phase (my review can be found here).
The film follows a couple, Tom (Jim Schubin) and Eve (Chloe Carroll), who are given $50,000 if they can last 30 days in a house together for a scientific experiment. Room, board, $50,000 and a month alone together. What could possibly go wrong? The film is getting released today, August 21, on Apple TV, and is having a limited theatrical run.
In the conversation, Phil talks about what it’s like working with his wife Chloe, who stars as Eve in the film, inspiration for the film, and how the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl victory coincided with the filming of The Honeymoon Phase, and more. We tiptoe around spoilers, so the film does not get spoiled during this interview. Listen below or you can download the interview here.
