Welcome to another exciting episode of Filmcraziest Interviews, and on this episode I interview Rob Savage, the director and one of the co-writers of the new horror film, Host. The film is currently streaming on Shudder and is about six friends who hire a medium to hold a seance via Zoom during lockdown and get more than they bargained for as things quickly spiral out of control.
The film stars Haley Bishop, Jemma Moore, Emma Louise Webb, Radina Drandova, Caroline Ward, Edward Linard and Seylan Baxter. It’s directed by Rob Savage and written by Rob Savage, Jed Shepherd and Gemma Hurley.
The interview’s a quick listen where we get into what it was like directing a film over Zoom, as well as what this film’s success could mean for other horror films with shorter lengths in the mainstream, and more.
Also, just a note, at around 9:40 I said that Emma was the one checking out her attic, but it was Caroline in the film.
Anyway, as always you can listen below or click here to download the interview. Thanks for listening!
